I started my decorating career in 1984, completing my apprenticeship and gaining City and Guilds and Advanced Crafts Certificate whilst working with Robinsons in London. I gained experience working at some large international hotels, Harrods, Marks and Spencer Head Offices and work for the U.S Embassy in St. Johns Wood.
I moved to York in the late 80's working for Peter and Joy Plaskitt of Plaskitt & Plaskitt, hanging hand printed papers and learning special paint finishes.
More recently I have done some external restoration work on the Shambles and on Stonegate for the National Trust, and also done some internal work for the Dean and Chapter of York on some of their properties in the centre of York.
I currently do decorating work for the Interior Designer of the Year for the North of England as well as for my own private customers.
I am happy decorating a single room or re-decorating a complete house. Very experienced in paper hanging having hung all types of paper from simple blown vinyls to designer and handprinted papers and fabrics. Including Colefax and Fowler, Zoffany, Brian Yates and Osborne & Little.
Although I work predominently for myself I also work in conjunction with a top Interior Designer throughout Yorkshire. If you require a quote or simply want some advice feel free to contact me for a free no obligation quote.
I regularly work with other professional tradesmen on larger projects so if you need a joiner, plasterer, electrician or plumber I would be pleased to recommend a reliable, local tradesman.
